Requirements for Student Volunteers for Junior I Assessment
  • Women may not be on their menstrual cycle nor be pregnant
  • No physical issues that would affect your yoga practice, even if you are a regular student in classes at IYSB. Examples of physical issues are back problems, knee problems, high or low blood pressure.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the poses on the Introductory Syllabus* that are taught in level 1-2 classes at IYSB.
  • A minimum of two years of Iyengar Yoga
  • Have practiced Sirsasana (headstand) at the wall and familiar with Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) as taught in Iyengar yoga classes
